Phoenix JKD: Unrealistic Use of Force

Phoenix JKD: Unrealistic Use of Force
How often we have come across those whom when we ask whether they have taken martial arts classes, and they, without hesitation, tell you, "no!" But that 'they carry a gun or a knife instead.' Those who give such answers, have deluded themselves entirely. It may be wise to remind them, that unless they have a lot of money for lawyers and wasteful court costs, or unless don't mind spending part of their lives or maybe their entire lives sleeping next to the big bald bubba in prison, they may want to abandon that stupid idea. The same goes with biting someone's face off or gouging their eyes out. All these extreme measures who I see some people brag about, come with major costs, and unless you were justified to defend your life, proving it was an extreme situation, you may be regretting your decision at the end of the day. That's just guaranteed! I am not against extreme measures of damage at all, but what I am saying is that they should NOT be your first choice priority weapons. They should be secondary or better yet, tertiary choices! I am simply talking about a normal guy or a gal who has a healthy life style, who has healthy and good people he or she hangs around with all the time, and doesn't run a risky life style. These individuals, in most cases run into least number of issues and if they do, they [most often] would not have to resort in shooting anyone or cutting someone's throat, bite a face off or gouge someone's eyes-----even though you are trained and have the will power to summon animal side if really need to. Now, all that being said, I am certainly not naive to presume that everyone lives in great areas of a city or a village----or that if you DO live in good areas, you are immune to dangers. I understand the dilemma of life circumstances, I have been there, but the good is found even in the worst of the worst places on the planet, and you must find them and associate yourself with them, and in doing so you must have enough balls to also influence the bad around you and be able to effect a change in them as well! You see, it's not about carrying a gun or a knife with you and feel pumped about them; but how you carry yourself and who do you carry yourself with! Your own mindset and motive in life----in most cases-----attracts those unusual events, based on how you have already [concluded] life to be, and how they are to [unfold] themselves in your life. Your training should prepare you to make wiser decisions! But always, allow the extreme measures to only meet with extreme events. Learn to be realistic with the force or the damage you are about cause. Thanks SHAHRAM MOOSAVI 480-489-7202 Photo: Simpson murder scene
