The True Art of Interception

The True Art of Interception
The origin of the word "interception" goes back to sometime between 1535–45 A.D, and comes from Latin interceptus which is the past  participle of intercipere------meaning, to prevent, to interrupt, to seize, to halt..... We have the fight application of the word interception, and we have the general life application of it. If we refer to the word [fight] in its general abstract and philosophical term to mean [struggle---not the actual fist fight meaning of it], then we have to accept that the term interception is a necessary element of life and it cannot be isolated or compartmentalized from anything else. What am I getting at!? What we are trying to say is that, you would never be able to intercept or prevent something------of that which you are NOT aware of, or cannot recognize. Therefore awareness and recognition are the two preceding prerequisites to interception. In general, living the [interceptive life] means living the safest, healthiest, and most productive, balanced life. Educating (training) ourselves help increase our awareness AND more importantly the proper timing of that awareness! Note that awareness and recognition by themselves won't be much of a help, but when the timing of that conscious and unconscious awareness is internally recognized, then interception becomes an active, practical force!!! On the application of interception in general life, you have to honestly ask yourself whether you are, [in a true sense], living a JKD (interceptive) life, IF, You hang around places with potential reckless violence, or are you potentially exposing yourself-----to in fact, GET [intercepted] by others-------such as getting shot by a nobody-------or getting arrested by law and ending up in courts and wasting a lot of precious time and money------ending up with STD's, losing a loved one, and thousands of other negatively life-changing events. None of us are perfect! We have made mistakes in the past, and we will continue to making them in the future, BUT we must aim towards perfection everyday! We cannot be the person of yesterday and the person of tomorrow must be sharper than today. The true spirit of JKD, and our art in general is [laser-focused awareness and complete prevention of bad stuff], NOT entangling ourselves with unnecessary things of life which would be pure carelessness and NOT courage and commitment associated with the concept of interception.
